Loved this read, Leona. Funny how everything coming into my orbit right now and what my body is intuitively feeling is...do less. Do less, and feel. Embodying myself as a buoy in the middle of the ocean in rhythm with the storms. Bouncing, feeling, waves crashing and holding me under...yet still floating. There's such a surrender in that. And then there's calm, before the next storm :)
Isn't its wild the PEACE that comes when you stop fighting what is?? Even if it's hard, it's less hard when you're fighting against it with all your might (and still feel like you're somehow failing...). I was in a circle today that was talking about our ability to sit and just be with things, instead of immediately trying to fix them. We get so mad at friends or partners when they jump into fixing instead of just validating and witnessing. But we do it to ourselves all the time! Also, love to know we're riding the same frequency 🤠
I would love to talk more about this with you - I am struggling with a dear old friend's mental health crisis that's been there as long as I've known her - over 40 years. Drugs help for a time and then don't. Lets talk soon lovey. xoxo
